Job Description:
Geotechnical Engineer
The Spatial Modeling Group (SMG) at RMS India is responsible for the development of high quality geospatial databases of hazard (including flood, earthquake, hurricane, terrorism and other perils), building inventory and exposure.
These databases are consumed by RMS catastrophe risk models or licensed directly by RMS clients.
These databases are developed using spatial modeling, remote sensing and other advanced geospatial and mapping technologies.
Customized geospatial applications are also developed by the group for efficient process automation and productivity gains.
SMG consists of approximately 20 GIS specialists with backgrounds in geology, geoinformatics, remote sensing, water resources, civil and computer engineering.
The department has a dynamic working environment with clear scientific and technological atmosphere and encourages innovations.
