Job Description:
Distt. Project Manager, Application Manager, Network Administrator, Database
Administrator, Data Entry Operator, Adda Fee Collector
District Project Manager:
B.E/B.Tech(Computer Science/IT/Electronics Communication)/MCA/�B � level course of DOEACC
with minimum 60% marks and 2 years minimum experience in software administration or
Development/Data Management/Web Designing. Must have passed Martic with Punjabi as one of
the Subjects.
Application Manager:
B.E/B.Tech(Computer Science/IT/Electronics Communication)/MCA/�B � level course of DOEACC
with minimum 60% marks and 3 years minimum experience in software administration or
Development/Data Management/Web Designing. Must have passed Martic with Punjabi as one of
the Subjects.
Network Administrator:
B.E/B.Tech (Computer Science/IT/Electronic Communication)/MCA/�B � Level course of DOEACC
with minimum 60% marks and 2yrs experience in networking and hardware maintance from
recognised insititution (ISOCertified) + Working knowledge of Punjabi.
Data Entry Operator:
10+2 with 60% marks and should have passed �A� level examination conducted by NIELIT (erstwhile
DOEACC) Govt. of India with at least 55% marks. OR
10+2 with 60% marks and 3 years Diploma in Modern Office Practice with at least 50% marks from
a Diploma level instititute duly recognized by State Board of Technical Education. OR
BCA/B.Sc (Computer Science or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks.
The candidate must have passed Punjabi at matric level.
The eligible candidates shall be required to pass the Computer Type Test in English.
Candidiate must have proficiency in data entry work with at least 6 month experience.
Adda Fee Collector:
Should have passed 10+2 from Govt. recognized board or Institution and one year course in
computers / I.T from a recognized University.
The eligible candidates shall be required to pass the Computer Type Test in English.
Must have experience of data entry and knowledge of the Punjabi and English typing.
Database Administrator:
B.E/B.Tech in IT or Computer Science/M.Sc in IT or Computer Science/MCA from a recognized
University or institution with minimum 60% aggregate in each case and 3 years experience as
Database Administrator.

Selection Process for NIELIT Recruitment 2017:
For the District Project Manager, Application Manager, Network Administrator, Database
Administrator:
In case the number of applicants applying online is more than 10, separately for each post
advertised, then the selection will be through MCQ test(70% Computer Science and 30% General
Aptitude)
The MCQ test in English will be of 1 hour duration, consisting of 50 Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ)
questions of 1.4 marks each, to be answered on OMR Sheet.
A maximum number of candidates, equal to 5 times of the number of posts advertised and those
securing 40% or higher marks in the MCQ test, in order of merit, will be shortlisted for an interview.
For preparing a selection/empanelled list for such posts, 70 marks have been allocated for the MCQ
Test, 15 marks for presentation of the candidate before the Selection Committee and 15 marks for
the interview.
For the posts of Data Entry Operator(DEO) and Adda Fee Collector:
The selection will be through a computer based Typing Test in English of 10 minutes duration.
The candidates qualifying the typing test with a minimum speed of 20 correct words per minute will
be considered eligible for selection/empanelment.
The selection/merit list for this post will be prepared on the basis of speed achieved by the
candidates in the typing test.
Out of 15 posts of Data Entry Operator, 8 posts are reserved for the SC/ST candidates and out of
9 posts of Adda Fee Collector, 3 posts are reserved for the SC/ST candidates.
Application fee: Rs.500/- (Rs 250/- for SC/ ST/ Person with Disability(PWD)/Women)
