Job Description:
Apprentice
Educational Qualification: As per Apprentices Act 1961 read in conjunction with Apprenticeship Rule
1992, the minimum educational qualification for a person to undergo apprenticeship training in
Designated trade shall be 8th passed / Std 10th with a minimum of 50% marks in 8th/10th followed
by ITI Examination (Provisional National Trade Certificate acceptable) in relevant Trade with
aggregate of 65% marks. Further, the candidate should have passed relevant ITI / trade test from
any institute recognized by NCVT and should possess the qualification as on the closing date of
application.
Minimum Physical Standards:
Height 150 cm
Weight not less than 45 Kg
Chest expansion not less than 5 cm
Eyesight 6/6 to 6/9 (6/9 corrected with glasses), external & internal organs to be normal.

Age limit: Born between 01 April 1997 to 31 Mar 2004. Upper age is relaxable by five years for
SC/ST candidates.
Commencement of Training: Apr 2018.
Selection Procedure:
Preliminary selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in Matric & ITI Examination.
Candidates in the Preliminary Merit list will be called for Written Test to be held at Mumbai in the
last week of Jan 2018. Candidates placed in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in written
examination will be called for Interview/Skill Test in Feb 2018.
The final merit list will be prepared as per Apprenticeship Trade (including reservations) with
adequate candidates in reserved list.
Scheme of Examination: Candidates meeting the criteria of essential qualifications would be
called for written examination scheduled to be held at Mumbai in Jan 18. The written examination of
2 hrs duration would comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions on General Science, General
Knowledge and Mathematics.The question paper will be bilingual in both English & Hindi.
