Job Description:
System Administrator Trainee
Educational Qualification:
MCA/M.Sc.(Computer Science), BE/BTech in any one of the following Disciplines:
Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication,
Electrical & Electronics, and Telecommunication.
Skills: Knowledge of C programming and UNIX are required.
Note:
General / OBC Candidates must have passed with a First Class.
SC/ST candidates with a Second Class will also be considered.
Candidates who have completed their qualifying examinations and who have been awarded the
degree as on the date of advertisement only should apply.
Persons with higher qualification then what is advertised need not apply.
Age limit(As on 15.03.2018): 30 years. Admissible age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC will be
extended.
IISc Recruitment � Selection process:
The selection process is based on Written test followed by interview for shortlisted candidates.
The test will be of the objective type � multiple choice with 50% negative marking for wrong
answers.
It will mainly cover Basic Mathematics, Logic Circuits, Algorithm and Data Structure, Networks,
Microprocessor, Basic Computer Science, Operating System Principles, Unix, C and C++
programming.
Application Fee:
Rs 150/- for GM, OBC
Rs. 75/- for SC/ST
No DD for PH candidates
Mode of Payment: DD should be drawn in favour of The Registrar, Indian Institute of Science,
payable at Bangalore.
Examination Centre: Indian Institute of Science Campus, Bangalore.
