Software Development Engineer
Groupon is looking for an experienced developers with a passion for building large-scale web
applications.
The kind of stuff youll be doing:
Design and implement client and server-side code
Participate in design and code reviews
Collaborate with peers on best practices and promote knowledge sharing
Stay informed on the latest technologies, trends and critically adopt them, as appropriate
Candidate Profile
BS, or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
4-10 years software engineering experience
Excellent coding skills in one or more of the following: J2EE Spring Framework
Strong computer science fundamentals (Design Patterns, DS & Algos, Operating Systems)
Databases: Exposure to both RDBMS and NoSQL
Web Technologies: HTTP Life cycle, REST hands-on, Caching, Messaging Technologies etc
Knowledge of web libraries and frameworks such as Ember.js, Angular.js, Backbone.js,
Node.js/Express
Experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript
Experience in HLD and LLD
Using services oriented architecture (SOA) you will build/test for scale, performance and reliability.
Thrives in a dynamic environment, using agile methodologies
Is detail-oriented and has creative problem-solving skills
Has excellent written and oral communication skills
