Job Description:
Software Engineer
The Software Engineer is assigned to a specific software solution and is responsible for writing and
configuring code to meet client requirement for new and upgraded solutions.
This role participates in full development life cycle including defining needs of client, providing input
for functional design, testing, troubleshooting, documenting software solutions and may be involved
in deployment.
Specifically, this role focuses on coding and unit testing at the User Interface, Middle Tier
application layer and Database layer of a Healthcare Financial application based on work
instructions and design guidelines/specifications provided.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor�s Degree (or the equivalent) in Computer Information Systems / Information Systems /
Computer Science / Engineering or Business Administration with emphasis in information systems, or
Master�s Degree (or the equivalent) in Computer Information Systems / Information Systems /
Computer Science / Engineering or Business Administration with emphasis in information systems, or
related field.
Must be proficient through work experience or academic coursework in developing software using
one or more preferred programming languages, including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Python, SQL (SQL
Server or Oracle), markup languages (HTML, CSS, XML).
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Database programming, Web Application
programming/JavaScript scripting framework, Relational Databases. Test-Driven Development
Insurance or medical domain software experience.
