Job Description
Software Engineer
1. Deciphering
proposed charter as well as mock-ups into standards-based HTML / HTML5 and
reusable CSS.
2. Updating
websites / designing webpages.
3.
Trouble-shooting for solutions.
4. Training
fellow team members.
5. Liaising
with the IT Teams as required.
Technical Skills - Essential:
1. Advanced
knowledge and practice of HTML / HTML5 for website construction.
2. A good
understanding of the importance of clean coding for SEO and of the logic behind
the tracking patterns of Google Analytics.
3. Expert
level knowledge of client-side Javascript, and JQuery. Excellent understanding
of CSS and how it governs site design.
4. Use of
graphical software (e.g.Photoshop) & optimizing images for the web.
5. Solid
working knowledge of a range of editing / posting software e.g. Dreamweaver,
Blogger, CuteFTP/Filezilla, Flash , Wordpress etc.
6.
Excellent at trouble-shooting and suggesting solutions within the given
framework.
7.
Knowledge of cross browser compatibility and working to W3C standards.
Desired skills and experience
1. At least
1+ years of designing/building/maintaining websites / blogs PDF / online form
creation.
2. Learning
new web technologies.
3. Good
knowledge of ecommerce practice.
